About Us

Ballina Byron Family Day Care is managed by a co-ordination unit which is staffed by experienced professionals to support the provision of quality care and manage the scheme. The co-ordination unit supports carers, parents and children in a range of ways.

The Family Day Care Coodinating Team:

Works in partnership with carers to meet required legislation, National Standards and Family Day Care Quality Assurance.
Recruits and monitors Carers and provides them with training, support and resources.
Helps parents to choose a suitable carer and the right environment for their children.
Staff members are available to discuss any child care needs, and to provide information about the service.
Administers Child Care Benefit (CCB) and other government subsidies such as Jobs, Education and Training program (JET).

Sponsor.

We are a non-profit community based Family Day Care Scheme. Our management committee consists of representatives from the community; carers; parents and staff. Monthly meetings occur every 3rd Thursday of the month. Parents and carers are invited to our General Meeting and Annual General Meeting each year.

Ballina/Byron Family Day Care is regulated by Children's Services Regulations 2004 under the Children & Young Persons (Care & Protection) Act 1998 and licensed by the Department of Community Services.
